A popular choice as a school speech day prize, this accessible and thought-provoking book will challenge your world view. It is gripping from beginning to end and covers a range of subjects including history, biology, geography, economics, religion, philosophy and psychology. Given the enormous task of addressing a brief history of us, Harari has necessarily had to be sparing with subject-specific detail; accordingly, this book is likely to raise more questions than it answers, but this is no bad thing.
